The Charts

Total Incident Rate

The Total Incident Rate (TIR) Chart represents the simple ratio of incidents to hours worked for each month.

The Preventable Vehicle Accidents chart shows the raw count of Preventable Vehical Accidents in a month.

Safety System Rating is a bubble chart that incorporates several factors of a Location's performance in to one graph.

  • Bubble Size

The Bubble Size is determined by the number of hours worked by that location over the course of one year. This is used to help managers judge the location performance relative to the "size" of the operation.

  • Monthly Performance

Monthly performance is the combination of several lagging indicators for a location's performance in one month. This is meant to establish how the location is performing in the short-term. Each factor has a scale to determine optimal performance. Points are awarded relative to that scale.

    • Monthly Incident Rate
Total number of incidents in a month divided by the hours worked in that month times 200,000.
